Why It Matters!

At First Choice Duct Installers, LLC and The Craft Skills Foundation Inc., we believe true success is not only measured by the skills we teach in the classroom, but also by the lives we impact in the community. Our commitment goes beyond training for careers—we also focus on mentoring, family building, and creating safe, positive spaces for growth.

Our mission is to build stronger communities through skills and support. By pairing technical training with mentorship and community engagement, we are dedicated to ensure that individuals are not only job-ready but also equipped to live fulfilling lives and contribute positively to society.

Annual Father’s and Sons Retreat

One of our signature community initiatives is the Fathers & Sons Mentoring Retreat, held annually (June). This event brings together fathers, sons, and mentors for two days of bonding, learning, and encouragement.

The retreat focuses on:

Guidance, support, and encouragement for young men
Building self-esteem and supporting mental health and wellness
Addressing challenges and peer pressures with practical strategies
Enhancing communication and skill-building between fathers and sons
Promoting physical health and positive life choices

Through shared experiences, workshops, and fun activities, the retreat strengthens family ties while also helping young men gain the resilience, confidence, and skills they need to thrive.
